Hi there! I’m Wendy! Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the cyber World. I started Cluttered Chaos in an effort to express my thoughts and feelings about all this clutter in my life. I suffer from a couple serious ailments called procrastination and laziness. I’m the type of person to let things pile up until I get so far behind I have no idea where to start. So, in December 2016, I decided to do something about it. I set a goal to declutter and reorganize my entire life, from my home to my health. And everything in between.
Here’s My Story
I grew up most of my life in a small town in Michigan. I lived with my Mom and step-dad as well as two of my three sisters. My parents separated when I was just a baby. The divorce was final when I reached the 2nd grade. Growing up, I only saw my real Father every once in a while and on Holidays. Of course, now that I’m much older, I see him as often as I can (which quite honestly still is very seldom). It’s probably a bit too confusing to comprehend, but I am my Mother and Father’s only child together. I’ll save that story for another time.
I enjoyed hunting and fishing with my family as a child. Although I never killed an animal while hunting (I have been known to hit small critters in my car on occasion), I enjoyed being out in nature for as long as I can remember. When I became a teenager, I also became what my parents identified as “boy crazy.” As a cheerleader in High School, I always had a crush on some guy or another. I was, as Johnny Lee would describe, “Lookin for love in all the wrong places.”
The Love of My Life
After three failed marriages, I finally found my soulmate, Danny Adams in 2010. We met in an online gaming site where we were both volunteer tournament directors. We became the best of friends. He was from Ohio and a die hard Buckeye fan. I didn’t really think this sort of thing would work with me being a true Blue, Michigan Wolverine fan. After a few attempts to get together, he finally settled in Michigan with me in 2012. He was uncomfortable to say the least being in the land of the Wolverines though. We married in December, 2012 and in June , 2013 we moved to Ocala, Florida – bringing my Mother (who already lived with me) with us. The picture to the left is of us on the cruise where he would propose to me on stage. We got married 20 days later.
Danny was diagnosed with Multiple Schlerosis (MS) in 2005, well before we met. However, he does not let that disease get the best of him. Sure there are days when he has to really push himself just to get out of bed. I like to think he is “fighting the fight” because of me. 🙂
His, Mine – No Ours
Between the two of us, Danny and I have three adult children; and now two in-laws and a granddaughter. Dannettia and Dano are Danny’s two children. Jeffro (as I like to call him) is mine. Plus I have two angel babies in Heaven. Together, we have no children between us.
Dannettia & Dylan
Between the two of us, Danny and I have three adult children; and now two in-laws and a granddaughter. Dannettia is Danny’s oldest daughter and is serving in the U.S. Army, now stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. She is a mechanic for those drone plane thingys. Not being an Army wife or an Army brat, I’m not really good with the military terms. In August, 2015, Dannettia married Dylan, whom we have yet to meet, but sounds like he does a great job taking care of her. Both are in the service together.
Now, this is MY pride and joy. Jeff is my first born, and the only one of my three sons that survived birth (more to come on that later). He has been the apple of my eye, and the beat in my heart since the day he was conceived. This kid has had a pretty rough life himself – parents divorced at a very early age, critically abused as a toddler (another story for another time), made fun of in school because of his disability, etc. But he holds no grudges and has the Heart of God within him. I look to him in awe of what he has been through and what he has accomplished in his mere 25 years.
Jeff is currently attending college in Michigan for his Associate degree in Business. Personally, I keep telling him he chose the wrong field. He’s a sports fanatic and can tell a sports story like no other. I believe his calling was Journalism or Broadcasting. Maybe someday he’ll listen to his “Momma Bills” (that’s my nickname).
Finally, the youngest, and another fountain of useless information when it comes to sports statistics, Danny’s youngest son, Danny III, or “Dano” as we call him. Dano, like his sister, Danettia, has followed in Daddy’s footprints and is serving in the U.S Army as well. He is stationed in Ft. Campbell, KY at the present time. He is a military police (MP) and an E5 for the time being. Whatever that is. I just know he has some upside down “V’s” on his uniform sleeve.
In July, 2015, Dano married a girl, Angel, who has become a dear friend and the best daughter-in-law I have. (She’s the only one I have at the moment so this could change! LOL) If it weren’t for blood, I would mistake her for my own child. On June 7, 2016, Dano and Angel gave us our very first grand-baby. Addyson has become the center of her Grandma and Grandpa’s universe. We always enjoy being able to see them as often as humanly possible. I can’t wait until she gets a little older and can come and stay with Grammy and Gramps for a while (without the parents!) 🙂
As mentioned earlier, I also have two heavenly angels. Tyler was born on March 2, 1995 – at about 27 weeks gestation. He weighed in at a whopping 1 lb 15 oz. However, born with severe bleeding on the brain, he didn’t make it after 5 days on life support. Trevor came 10 years later. He was born on March 6, 2005 at 20 weeks – just to0 young and beautiful for this Earth. Not a day goes by that I do not think of both of my boys and wish they were still here with me. I often wonder what their lives would be like now had they survived. They are both safe in the arms of Jesus and I know I will be able to hold them again one day!
